a shiny, silver basket…
It’s the perfect day for hanging some spring blooms on your neighbor’s doorknob!!
You need: Clean tin cans, floral foam, ribbon, and flowers!
Punch two holes on either side of the can
String the ribbon through each hole
and tie on knot on the outside of the can.
Cut the foam and put in in the can.
Fill each can with water.
Push in some spring flowers!
Attach a custom label.
We’re off to ring some doorbells.
Happy May Day!!

Beautiful girl, beautiful flowers! Happy May Day!
I delivered flowers for May Day once, way back when I was in 3rd grade.
(Where did you get those gorgeous flowers? That’s the downside to May Day in Minnesota. The grass is green, and the trees might have leaves. But flowers? Not so much.)
Beautiful! I had grand plans of delivering May Baskets today, but eye appointments took over that coveted morning spot of time. Glad I got to have a look at yours! I think next year I’ll save my cans!
So cute! I’m glad I got to see the “before” version – although it was much more fun to see the “after” version! 🙂
what a fun idea! i love it.
So. Cool.
The door’s open…come on over, Ava! 😉
What wonderful pictures! Next May Day I want to be a part…and fill them with the traditional French May Day flower (and my favorite) – Lillies of the Valley. Thanks for the pictures!
Love this post – I totally plan on borrowing your creative idea! The pics are beautiful and I love the step by step instructions (for the craft-impaired like me!).
How do you punch holes in the side of the cans without ruining the can?
