I’m thinking you should be glad she’s not snorting it. π Sounds wonderful. Would you share the recipe? I could reciprocate with my chewy oatmeal coconut dried cherry cookies. Even my husband (the man who doesn’t enjoy sweets) loves them.
Cute! I think that’s a very common scene when baking with a 3 year old. I can barely keep Mira’s fingers out of the batter when we make cookies! Can’t wait to see you both next week!

I think it’s just plain smart.
Ava, you’re onto something there — eliminate the middle man. Why bother with the spoon when you can just lick?
I love your backsplash!
And I second the suggestion to share the recipe.
well rachel, despite your well intended efforts, I do believe this child of yours is going to grow up to be a sugar junkie!
she is so cute! thank you for your comments. and i’m so sorry you have lost so many.
Love that action shot! π Smart girl…why use fingers or a spoon when you can just go straight to the counter with your tongue!!!
Nothing tastes better than good ‘ole flour and baking soda! ~at least, that’s what it looks like Ava is licking up! ~ But Ava is not alone. When Isaac and I bake, which is not often, he wants to taste every ingredient from salt, to baking soda, to flour. Once we made homemade playdoh and it called for some cream of tartar and of course he had to get his little taste buds on that too. Blech!
It already looked like your gorgeous countertops were pretty clean (I mean, underneath the cookie ingredients) but after this I guess they were REALLY clean!
