Last year I was amazed to find four candles on my baby’s cake. You can imagine my surprise when someone added another one.
This past year has blown by.
And with three birthday parties in one weekend, this one doesn’t show any signs of letting up.
Nor does she.

Look out five, here she comes!
Perhaps I’ll post more pictures when I’ve recovered from the shock. And the sugar high. And from seeing dots.
Perhaps.
First I’m going to look at this.

Ohh. Happy Birthday my little bird!
I think FIVE is your number!!

I’ve been wondering for a while what the birthday bash theme would be this year. Polkadots! Elias was set on pirates, so pirates we was, arrg! A very happy fifth birthday to Ava!
happy happy birthday little fledgling!!
LOVE the polka dots. What a cute theme! See you soon!!!!
Happy birthday to Ava! Those polka dots are really cute!
Happy birthday chickadee.
And you too, Mama. I think, in our hearts, we celebrate birthdays more completely than our children, because we remember and treasure each candle!
(Cute party, too. But I expect nothing less from you.)
Happy Birthday, dear Ava! You throw the best parties.
(“You” meaning you, Rachel.)
Happy birthday Ava!
Happy Birthday Ava!
(Maybe we’ll follow suit and have a polka dot birthday next year seeing as this year we were fairy princess ballerinas)
Happy Birthday Ava!!! Thinking of you all! Wow, a year has definitely flown by!
You do realize that she won’t stop at 5 right? I thought for sure Emma would stop at 2 but here we are almost 8 and getting ready for 2nd grade. ugh…. why, why why!?!?!?
