Ava tucked in her shirt this morning and declared that she was going to work. I asked her where she was working and she pointed to her bedroom. We then discussed how she was going to work with baby dolls and ponies. “That’s very important work,” I told her. “Mmm-hmm,” she replied. “‘Cause, ’cause, ’cause little things are important. Little things are important to kids and big things are important to mamas and daddies and other big people.”
