I like the poem! Looks like there was lots of rain yesterday….She’s a cute little rain girl! – Shanel
She is all geared up! So Cute!
And that is THAT!!
Cute! So sorry, but what’s a mackintosh?
A mackintosh is a waterproof raincoat originally made of rubberized material. They are quite common in the U.K. where A.A. Milne is from. Ava doesn’t have a mackintosh–she’s wearing her favorite hoodie.
In fact, Ava actually put that rain ensemble together herself. We had been reciting the poem together while unstacking the dishwasher. She disappeared for a bit and returned with her own rain get-up.
Oh, that makes the story highly more interesting! Thanks for the mackintosh info…I had guessed something like that, and do remember the word from my days of having A.A.Milne read to me, but was thrown off guard because I didn’t see it in the photo. Silly old me! There it is, disguised as a hoodie. Can’t believe I missed it.
Love you guys!
she is adorable! Really, such a doll!
