At lunchtime I poured Ava a glass of pomegranate juice and placed it on the table before she had chance to ask me for a drink. Truly, I was quite unprepared for her response:
Oh Mama, thank you! Thank you for the pomegranate juice, Mama. You thought I was thirsty, so you gave me some pomegranate juice because you thought, “Ava’s probably thirsty,” and so you made me some pomegranate juice, didn’t you, Mama? That was so nice, Mama. Oh, thank you!

Wow, Ava’s overwhelming response of gratefulness has left me quite speechless…
Now if I can only get Mike to respond to things I do like that….Does Ava give lessons?
